How Commtract Works
Welcome to Commtract, the world’s first dedicated marketplace for communications professionals.
Posting a project is completely free. All you need to do is write a short project description and nominate the skills and experience that you require.
Next add your budget, either as a lump sum, or as an hourly, daily or monthly rate. This is not mandatory, however it does help to guide interested Commtractors.
You can choose to post the project publicly, or to limit it to a selected group of Commtractors.

Once you have posted a project, you will begin to receive proposals from interested Commtractors. Each proposal will include the Commtractor’s profile, terms of engagement and contact details. If you like a proposal, you can shortlist it. You can also share it with your colleagues for their feedback.
You can contact an interested Commtractor at any point to request more information or to arrange an interview.
If you have found the perfect Commtractor before the proposal deadline expires, you can close the process straight away.

Once you have decided on your Commtractor, simply click “accept their proposal”. You will have a choice of using our automated agreement or your own legal agreement.
Our agreement allows you to choose from standard clauses around termination, IP, expenses and confidentiality.
Importantly, the relationship between the client and consultant is that of principal and independent contractor. Nothing in the Commtract agreement gives rise to a relationship of employment, agency or partnership between the client and consultant. Commtract is not a party to the agreement.
You can edit details relating to price and dates depending on what has been agreed. At this point, we will also let all the other Commtractors know that they were unsuccessful.
